Digital Marketing is still a new concept to many people. Digital marketing was introduced to me by someone very close and I'm so thankful to him.
So in general terms, Digital marketing means marketing your products digitally i.e., online! Doing all the work that you did offline will now be done online.
Like in old times, traditional marketing (how it is called now) was the only thing.
Salesmen used to go door to door to sell their products to even those who might not be their potential buyers but they had no option to knock at each door and promote their product which wasted so much time and still not sure whether the customer will buy the product or not!
So now if we compare both past and present scenarios of marketing you know the answer to why everyone is crazy about digital marketing!
Now we tend to CHOOSE people who might be interested in our product or services.
You have the option to filter out people who you think won't be interested which leads to cost-saving ( which every business wants), time-efficient and you know if you have selected the audience suitable for your product then it increases the chances of your audience converting into potential buyers!
Let me explain this with an example -
Earlier we as children used to go out and play every sort of game and were least interested in mobile phones or video games but now children of 2 or 3 years of age know more about technology/phones.
90% of the time they remain glued to their phones! This case is not just with young children but with adults too!
4.57 billion Internet users worldwide.
With more and more people gaining access to the internet and becoming so active on social media it increases the chances of their clicking those catchy display ads or video ads and that's what we want at the end.
Customers !!! But more importantly potential customers.
